Port Macquarie Art Society

44th Annual Easter Art Exhibition 2019

This year is the 44th Annual Port Macquarie Arts Society Easter Art Exhibition and we invite you to join us. This year the venue is again the Art Society's Heritage Gallery on Hamilton Green, Hastings River Drive. The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday 18 April until Thursday 23 April 2018.

We invite all local artists to participate in our 44th Exhibition. The 2019 details and entry form are available, or contact Maureen on 0409 820 694, or by email.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, without whose help, events like this would not be able to happen. Thank you to Priest Legal, NorthCorp Accountants, Morgans Financial, Adenbrook Homes, Port Macquarie News, Laing & Simmons, Lighthouse Beach Holiday Village and all the volunteers from Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Club House and Port Macquarie Art Society.

The benefits of art classes for those with

memory loss

Members of the community who suffer memory loss, and their carers, explore the therapeutic benefits of art for people living with memory loss, focusing on recognising and expressing the unique creative talent possessed by each individual.

The ABC National screened a TV program on 21 February 2010 showcasing the value of these classes for dementia sufferers and their family and carers in Port Macquarie. The six minute video segment below courtesy of ABC Television.
